Mokracy: MUSIC

Still Remember

(Zoe Felice)
June 2, 2010
Words and Music by Zoe & Paul Felice
Zoe wrote this song for her mom a few years ago and we did a rough recording for Mother's Day. Sara asked for a copy on CD she could have but I never got around to it. Then Zoe got interested in the whole mixing/mastering process one day, so we decided to re-record and remix the song. She did most of the mixing and editing herself after I gave her a brief tutorial on GarageBand.

It's not a Mokracy song, but I figured I'd stick it up here for your enjoyment for a while.

Also, be sure to listen to the whole track. ;)

Still Remember
by Zoe Felice

Here I am, standing across the street
Lookin’ down at my shoes and my feet
Remember bein’ nested in your arms
Protected from all harm

And I still remember when
You were my best friend

Mashed peas and fruit stuffed in my face
With you, my favorite place
I learned to walk and sing because of you
And my words will always be true

CHORUS

Cinderella found her slipper
Snow White well she didn’t die
I think I know just how they feel

The magic of your love around me
Light shines from your loving eyes
I hope you know just how I feel

CHORUS

And I know I’m growin up
But I still like chocolate syrup in my cup
And dancing ‘round the house in my dress
Always makin such a mess

CHORUS

Hey mama can you hear my cry?
We both never wanna say goodbye.
No matter what I ever do
I will never forget you.

CHORUS (x2)
